WELCOME NETWORK SUMMER NEWSLETTER 2022

June 27, 2022 by BandM Leave a Comment

Fire in the North

Dear Partners and Friends of Welcome Network,

We hope that you are keeping well. Sometimes we wonder what God is doing, don’t we? It is so easy to get confused and disheartened, but for us, at the moment, the challenge is really just to trust in God and keep on going!

NETWORKING AND MISSION

Over the last five years we have built up solid relationships with many in Christian leadership, worship and prayer groups across Northumberland and Tyneside, and continue to do so. These are enabling good networking and mission to take place. This September we will be hosting a special meeting called “FIRE in the North” in which fifty or so leaders, in the region, will gather to share their passion to see God move in revival.

TEACHING, PRAYER AND THE PROPHETIC

Nationally (and internationally) it has been so encouraging to be invited to teach on several platforms via zoom, and to participate in monthly prayer & prophetic groups, including one from the Nordic countries. One special time for us was DECLARE 2022 when the whole Bible was spoken out over Pentecost. Our section was to readout Mark Chapters 11-15. We were touched that this passage started with one of our major calling words about being two donkeys that the Lord has need of.

JUBILEE CELEBRATIONS

Locally, our Village Chaplaincy work in Shilbottle is a steady presence. We regularly connect with a number of mostly more elderly residents. We had a lovely garden party for the Queens Platinum Jubilee in our prayer garden and helped out at a street party the following day. We were also able to distribute copies of a book called, Our Faithful Queen and some commemorative gospels.

FAMILY NEWS (See baby photos below-our 7th grandchild!)

On a personal level, we are rejoicing in the birth of Jack! He is the first baby of our daughter, Esther and son in law, Martin. We have also finally got our flights sorted out for Australia. We are visiting our son, Jonathan, and his wife, Dolly, along with grandsons, Edward and Henry in September. We had to cancel our flights at the start of the UK lockdown in 2020, so it is a real joy to be going at last!

BRIGHT RIVER CHAPEL

We continue to meet online and locally with others through Bright River Chapel for a short time of worship and sharing each Sunday afternoon. If you would like to join you are welcome The zoom starts at 4pm UK time for a facebook livestream at 4.15pm. (zoom ID 7253379548 Password:Albafarne).

We want to thank God for all of you, our Welcome Network supporters and friends. Thank you for your prayers and financial giving.

It has all helped and we appreciate your input into our lives.

With much love from
